Can’t believe someone said Faithless. That’s like chucking a late 80s Phil Collins album…

    Don’t be such a snob! That’s my job 😉

I’ve pre-ordered Global Underground’s new Afterhours album as the preview on Soundcloud sounds right up my street. And because my memory is shocking it will be a total surprise when it turns up.

The Goa Mix original – Paul Oakenfold.
Not strictly an album but a mix new enough at the time to be properly groundbreaking. I still remember a ‘relaxed’ night around a mate’s and being surprised by the first playing of this on the Essential Mix, followed by a loooong silence from all of us.

    Nearly forgot!:

Isao Tomita – ‘Snowflakes Are Dancing’ (Debussy)

A well-loved staple since chancing on an old cassette at work about 20 years ago. Used it for therapy/time-out for a profoundly autistic individual and consequently fell for the album myself. So completely that I had to get my own copy. There is something timeless, soporific and dreamy about it. Also convinced me that dated/electronic/classical doesn’t necessarily mean either contrived or soul-less.
