In a barn, at a new years party, the DJ is playing house music – hard house. There are young people. They seem to think this is ironic! WTF. This is serious.

Absolutely nothing. I shall now employ the Edinburgh defence of “I’m loving the choons, but apparently theyre a bit Meh.” Though now everyone is enjoying a little boogie, so there you have it!

They probably can’t afford enough drugs to enjoy it authentically.

And “city centre living opportunity” / bedsit / “studio apartment” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as a music genre.

I’m really not sure where the irony lies, which shows how little I know about what the young people of today listen to.
Although, considering just how young significant portions of the audience are at the gigs I go to, then perhaps I’m not as out of touch as I thought.

    Sheepdipsco

To anyone young the house scene would be like motown was to me.
