You change the set-up on your bike and it all just seems to fall into place and feel perfect.

Over the last two weeks I've fitted a Thomson post (no big change but hey), I've gone from 711mm wide alloy bars to 660mm wide carbons much better, gone from a 65mm 0 rise stem to a 90mm 0 rise stem and together with the bars the front end feels perfect, can even get off the back better 😕

Biggest change has been the wheels, gone from Hope Hoops with DT5.1's to Hope Hoops with Stans 355's – what a difference the bike as my mate puts it – "Just wants to go as soon as you put your foot down".

I've also been playing with the adjustable rear travel, it's spent he first 10 months of ownership at 129mm (max) but I thought I'd give it ago at 116mm, and boy does it feel better. Still kept the 130mm Revs up front though.

It's all on a Nicolai Helius CC BTW as a bonus the bike is also a fair bit lighter too 😀

Might try some of those ashima Air rotors
