When should I replace the yellow tape in my tlr rims? Is it when I replace the latex or when I change tyres or some other time?
I’ve seen gorilla tape mentioned, is it a viable and cheaper alternative?
Sorry for mulit questions but I’e been using ust rims until recently 😕

I’ve used the 1″ wide Gorilla tape on my LB rims, and it was a perfect fit. You’d have to trim it on many rims, which would be a bit of a pain, but not insurmountable.

I only replace it when it get really manky, IME eventually you get some sealant under it and it stops sticking. That generally takes years rather than months though.

Cheers. The wheels are only about 4 months old but I’ll keep an eye on the tape at tyre change(more frequent than sealant change) 😀

As above, replace it when it needs replaced, not before. Sometimes it can peel or fold a little over time- gets sealant under it, or gets pushed to one side when you change tyres. But rare, that. I think the most common cause for me is replacing spokes.
