Would be interested to hear from you 🙂 I wonder if 6 months is enough time to get fit enough to attempt it (from a fairly low base!)

having lived for a few years in nepal, you will need to be fit, there is a reasonalbe amou of carrying to do as well, but the biggest affect will be effects of alitutude. I would love to do it but i would try and go out 2 weeks or 10 days before, fly into altitude either jomson, lukla or manang (manang is highest) then either walk up a little or down alittle for the first night depending on wre you go to, then just have a 4 or 5 days trekking up and down to higher altitudes to get your body acclimatised. Once acclimatised your body should be ok for up to weeks to keep its acclimatisiation if you drop back down below about 2500m. So droppi back by flight to kathamndu to get sorted for the race etc should not be a problem. My view is this will really help.
