Sorry not knocking the work done I’m sure there was a lot of R’n’D, a lot of false starts as to how make it all work, well. But I doubt the shifter was the complicated bit.

Still. Happy I didn’t bother waiting for it. 10 will do me for the time being (or nine on the other two bikes)… will watch with interest though. I am a hater of the front mech, seizey uppy little beggers.

not as highly priced as i thought it’d be – the gxp chain set (inc ring) is less than £180 – you cant get a new X0 for that!!

Don’t you need to run SRAM wheels as well? Gets pricey if you include those too…

But you can use the chainset / rings with any 10 speed set up – as the XX1 uses a 10speed chain – gaining most of the chain keeping benefits when run with a Shimano Shaddow + or Sram Type 2 rear mech.

That’s far cheaper than one XX shifter, seems alright to me.

You need DT (ie Roval, some Bontrager etc) or SRAM hubs.
