Just found a broken tooth on the 42T sprocket of my XX1 cassette.. that’ll be why it’s started slipping then! 🙁

A bit of Google Fu throws up this from Ari as a potential replacement so I thought I’d share it.. anyone tried one, or come across any other alternatives?

You mean you don’t fancy stumping up £200 for a replacement for a broken tooth?

Thread hijack – does anyone know if the x1 42t can be replaced or is a whole new cassette needed?

From BikeRadar: “The largest, 42t cog is constructed from aluminum and pinned in place in the same manner as on the higher-end cassettes.”

So I guess you should also be able to use the replacement I linked to above..
