    afternoon guys
    i need to upgrade my shifters and have decided on xtr`s as a treat
    has anyone seen any good deals on these lately? the best ive seen is the woolyhatshops ebay shop at £119
    anything better?

    why not put in a request on teh classifieds – I got a barely used pair for £80 I think it was on here – not a scratch and def no regrets!

    sorry to hijack your thread

    is it possible to clean/lube the inside of xt shifters ??

    just that mine always get covered in crap and i dont want them to fall to bits

    well i did that to mine (TF2 Teflon Lube stuff) but did not know if it would wash all the grease out that may be on the inside

    I bought some when they came out in 07 and I was loving them.

    Just got back on the bike from injury for a month using SLX-great too.

    Then jumped on my XTR kitted bike and loved the metal thumb shifter-smooth too.
