Right then, just to confirm even an idiot like me can convert my 3×10 XT setup with shadow+ rear mech to 1×10 with hope 34 retainer ring on the front and t-rex on the back.

Apart from having to drill out one of the old ring bolts (rounded head as its very soft alu) it was very straight forward and can definitely be completed in about an hour and a half.

Rear mech (SGS) only needed the B screw adjusting so didnt need a new bolt or any other adjustments. All looks pretty good. Will post some pictures in daylight tomorrow.

Thanks to previous posts as I wouldnt have dared without others posting advice on here.

Now means I can run the reverb upside down on the left hand side 🙂
