Will my ispec b XT shifter fit on onto my ispec II brakes, if not is there an adapter or have I buy an ispec II shifter.

I believe not.

I have I-Spec B XT brakes and wanted an I-Spec XT Shifter, but I was forced to buy bar champ as B-Spec were out of stock and I-Spec II would not be compatible.

Im guessing since I Spec b XT11 speed has only been out a week we’re talking a 10 spd shifter to XT M8000 brakes? Thats not going to happen I am afraid AFAIK. I

Hi Gary – per email, your brakes are Ispec B (M785) and should be compatible. 🙂

M785 are I-Spec II?

I thought only the more recent M8000 are II spec?

I’m sure my M785 are B spec?

Is there something I’ve missed?

I have just replaced a 785 rear lever as it was losing its return rate. 2013 groupset and original ispec. I bought, from Evans, new updated ispec top part for shifters – version b I guess, and spent an hour this afternoon swopping over (including a bleed and new pads). Pretty simple. The shifter top piece was about £20
