  • XT HTII Bottom Bracket – IC & LE

    I have two XT BB’s, one has LE and the other has IC stamped on the casing where the model number is. They look different in terms of the finsh etc. Does anyone know if the IC and LE demarcation means anything?

    IIRC it’s to identify where they are manufactured (or am I being senile again)

    The LE one looks and feels a poorer quality product!!

    I believe that those are year/month codes as explained about halfway down the page at http://www.vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm
