    Need some cheap and tough rings for 2004-2007 XT HTII cranks as mine are practically toothless.

    For which crank arms?

    I know at least SLX chainrings don’t fit onto 2004-2007 XT HTII cranks arms without minor modification

    Are RF and Shimano definitely interchangeable though?

    I found an SLX middle was slightly too tight to fit on an Evolve spider.

    I was running 2005 XT cranks and race face fitted without a problem. It was the small and middle ring I replaced. Shimano rings seem to be made of cheese.

    Im running 2008 race face race rings on an M770 chainset without any issues at all.
