Mrs M’s front brake died yesterday, upon inspection it looks like this bit has come out (#5 in the exploded parts diagram).

I’ve managed to find one online – figured it’s worth a punt before buying a new lever assembly, but I’ve never seen this come out before and, as such, have zero clue about how to get it back in again!

Long shot – but anyone know their way round XT Brakes to that level!?

Happy to have a go if it’s home-fixable, failing which I’ll drop it off at the LBS.

    Cheers!

Looks like it’s held in place by the grub screw (8) which may be hidden under a cap or fallen out. That tightens into a groove on the axle pin to keep it in place

Yep there’s a small rubber stopper covering the grub screw No8
Pivot pin No5 just slides into the lever body and the grub screw locates in the slot round the center.
