    Will this work? If the cable pull is the same I would think it should. Sorry I seem to be inept at google today.

    You might only get 10 of the 11 gears if it does

    If you want to run a, M8000 XT mech on an existing 10ped set up it will work. Perfectly – did it myself last week with XT shifter, SLX/T-Rex and HG54 chain.

    Now on full XT 11 speed with the exception of the chain which is still the HG54 and it’s spot on. Any differences in pull ratio are negligible, and the pull itself is determined by the shifter.

    What won’t work 1s an 11 speed shifter/mech and 10 speed cassette.
