Anyone have any views on Xero road wheels, specifically the Xero-Lite XR-1?

Look light for the ££’s so thinking of getting a set.

    Thanks.

The XCR-1 Centauris or whatever they were called got a very good review in Cycling Plus a couple of years back. They were about £195 at the time.

On that review my neighbour bought some XAR1s? for about £230 which were very light for their money – but christ did they look really cheap in the flesh.

I had a pair of these and can thoroughly recommend them. Light, stiff and great value for money. The only reason I don’t have them anymore is I sold the bike they were fitted to.

The Xero Lite XR210 are nice. Got a really good review in this month’s C+

One thing we’ve noticed at work with them though, the rims are fairly soft, so if you use them as winter wheels with the grit on the rad they seem to wear out really quickly.
Also good luck if you need to get spares for them. Shame really as they do look like good value
