    my son xbox is asking for the pass code to connect to Live . when i enter the pass code, it tells me it is wrong .
    but in settings , the pass code works fine .

    any ideas what is wrong and how can i fix it ?

    This is not something i’ve encountered – I usually buy a code online & input it via the settings menus.
    Turn it off at the wall for a few mins & try again?

    can you apply different passwords for access to the machine, and access to the interwebs?

    It is the family pass code. If is working fine in the settings but when trying to connect to Live it tells me it is the wrong one.
    It was working fine at the beginning of the week.

    You need to clear the cache.

    If that doesn’t work try Xbox helpline. They are very helpful, fair old wait usually but its free phone number.

    or if the x bone, keep the power button pressed until the power brick light goes orange.

    thanks for the help .

    had to ring them and had to delete the profile and re install , and clear cache .
