Last night’s ride ended pretty much before it really began. Somehow managed to catch a big lump of wood between the cage and chain which basically snapped the mech.

Looking at the material of the cage X1 and X01/XX1 (alu vs carbon) I’m just wondering if an X1 cage would have had a better chance of survival? any thoughts?

Was going to buy a X01 but if the X1 is a little bit hardier then might just plumb for the X1 instead.

rear mech id go X1, I always down grade the rear mech in faver of a better shifter and cassette
