anyone find they need to run a fair bit less air that the guide ? I have read that they need a good 15 hrs plus riding out the box for the seals to free up a bit. Mine say they should be at 85 PSI for my kitted up weight, but I let a fair bit out them last night, after second ride at that pressure. Have them at about 70 now….

Fitted some slants last week and similar, running them a lot lower than suggested. will pop a little more air in tonight and let scruff fiddle with the dials.

It’s only ever a guideline, too many variables to be anything other than that. Don’t worry about it – just have a play with your set, on your bike, with your setup and get them setup for you.

I’m running Velvet DLAs set to 80ish psi. The standard Velvets have a different pressure to DLAs however. I’ve a way to go before I reach the break-in threshold, but right now I’m finding them too ‘divey’ on anything less that 80. Generally good fork when set to 140mm travel though.
