What fork for a 100mm HT 29er? Want tapered steerer & 15mm axle; was tending towards X-fusion Trace but LBS has suggested Reba.

Anyone any experience to guide one way or other, or other suggestions? Keen to avoid Fox as current rep not good.

Manitou tower pro, I’ve got the 80mm version on my singlespeed and rate them better than my 100mm Rebas

I’ve got a Reba 100mm on my Cotic Solaris with standard 9mm QR axle, and a X fusion Trace 120mm with 15mm axle on my Trance. The Reba’s feel real flexy now in comparison, therefore I’m on the look out for another Trace or Slide for the Solaris. The X Fusion is a different league.

Do you think that’s the 15mm axle, or is the Trace just much stiffer?

I have the X-Fusion Slide, which has the same RL2 damper but 32mm uppers. Really like it. Smooth and stiff. No bells and whistles but everything works as it should. Lock-out is a proper lockout. I can’t comment on long term reliability yet, or compare to the Reba, since I have not ridden one.
