New are only £8.99 from wiggle (delivered) http://www.wiggle.co.uk/halo-hex-key-skewers-pair/ I've run the same halo set on my commuter for 3 years in all weathers with no issue. Don't rely on just them though, use a cable through the wheels and good D-lock or chain for the frame, my daughter had 3 attempted thefts of her bike in 5 weeks (motorbike chain and HD padlock and a 12mm cable through the wheels) and now has to keep it in her room.

Cheers for that, the bike storage at my accommodation is fairly secure, big cage with a pad lock and then you chain your bike up inside that all covered by CCTV and lighting. During the day at uni its chained at the side of the main road so fingers crossed.
