My darling wife put her phone through the hot wash recently. I have made her suffer for what is, probably, an appropriate amount of time by giving her my old Sony Ericsson from about 1954. She is now badgering me for a replacement phone. She wants one EXACTLY the same as the old one as she "knows how to work it".

I can get one on a Pay as You Go for about £60 or so I think, but anyone got one lying around??

Needs to work on O2. Looks like this (or silver) –

I washed my 6300. Take it apart and shove it in a bowl of rice for 24 hours, I did and was surprised when I turned it back on it worked and it’s been fine since.

    tip: use uncooked rice.

As long as you didn’t fire it up straight away after getting it out of the wash, you could try to recover it, by drying it out slowly.

    Probably borked though.

    Pawn shop for a replacement?
