   I need them for my other half's bike because her name is Louise.

   The nice Hope brakes I intended to fit are 'Fine, but they don't say Louise on them'.

   Stupidly, as an alternative, I said she could have my Magura Julie's to which she replied "Julie, who the hell is Julie?" "My name is Louise not Julie you....................."

   Seriously though, please help me in my quest to be released from the dog house and sell me your Louise brakes but please keep that I really don't want to spend too much for the sake of a name!

   Thanks very much for the offer. They really are a bargain at that price but I would rather see what is available second hand, and hopefully even cheaper.

   I'll definitely keep your offer in mind though.

   well they are a stock item in the shop, i can't imagine they will go anywhere very quickly, so give me a shout if nothing else turns up

   I have a 2007 set. They have 180/160 rotors and long hoses. I think I have a spare set of pads as well.

   They look like this, but with standard rotors and no carbon on the lever.

   They've been used for a couple of years, but work perfectly. The hoses are a bit scuffed but I don't think there are any major marks on the levers or calipers. Rotors are straight.

   I can get photos and hose lengths tomorrow evening if you're interested.

   Have a set of Louise FR brakes (from 05 or 06). I's. mounts. 180mm front, 160mm back. Silver goodridge hoses, new (one ride old) 6 bolt SL Rotors, new (one ride) sintered Fibrax pads. All in excellent condition. I just prefer the feel of shimano brakes as I like the levers as near to the bars as possible (your other half might struggle with Magura brake levers as well)- £100 posted.

   Hi Guys

   Thank you very much for your kind offers but I've now decided against Magura Louise brakes as I've since been advised by Mr T and others that due to the apparent long lever reach, they are not small hands/woman friendly.

   Reason enough to dissuade her from wanting brakes just because they have her name on!
