My mate is looking to get into riding a bit of downhill and I don't want him riding a cheapo deathtrap or something that's not suitable as not to put him off it all together... My advice was a half decent steel hardtail frame (Trailstar etc) with some good forks and brakes as a base then whatever other parts will go with it for cheap. So let me know what you have! He's only looking to spend about £200, maybe up to £300 if the spec is good.
