ive got a friends ctd forks in pieces – there the non trail adjust ones which mojo tell me cant have the 14 valving upgrade.

im going to fill them with 15 wt oil to try and up the compression.

    has anyone else tried it?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

The thing you need to be aware of is high speed compression will be affected as much as low. The fork might need a tune for the high speed if it starts spiking on square edge hits.

Don’t think it’ll make a huge difference TBH, as the lack of damping on the 13 spec. ones probably won’t be fixed by a slight increase in oil wt/viscosity.

Ive just bled it up with 15wt oil and will get him to give it a spin before i go down the revalve route. im guessing its the 14 trail adjust piston thats wont fit the non adjust version.
