    Is it just like Michael Mcintyre doing the annoying laugh after (or during) (or before) his own joke?
    Read it aloud and it's weird. Then again it does kind of work on the screen lol

    It's a form of insecurity, a written nervous giggle. Unless you have said something genuinely funny and actually made yourself laugh in which case you are just odd. LOL
