    Yeh but KR-810 – £900 – bargin – Pinarello £2500 – not so much of a bargin 🙂

I have to disagree Nick. The Pinarello looks like it is melting. Probably rides out of this world but asthetically it is not for me.

    BURN THE HEATHEN!

They are very much 'Marmite' bikes certainly!

Ah, you didn't bring value into it, you said it looks nice! I'd buy a complete bike rather than a £900 frame, Trek Madone or sommat is likely better value!

Think a lot of it is snobbery TBH – I bet if it had a pinarello name on it people would go – WOW? Maybe not but just because it has a heafty pricetag doesn't mean its good 😉 or better riding than something for 1/3 as much – Topical 😉

Yes I am a Kinesis Fan hence finding the piccy on the Kin/Morv blog but I also have a ribble and an Orange at home, also had amny other makes ad I am not on their payroll 😉 [your honour]

I've got to say I'm a bit of a Ridley fan. Got a couple!

    http://www.ridley-bikes.com/pd/gb/en-gb/1/62/road/Noah

The Kinesis looks a bit underwhelming graphics wise and the frame isn't intergrated well with the rest of the frame like the best bikes.

    Pinarellos are "over designed" IMHO.

Getting the new frame hasn't stopped you plugging their products then, foxyrider 😉

I would say the KR-810 graphics are subtle, stylish and modern myself rather than uber flashy no?

WW – haven't got it yet – maybe this week 😉

It was a genuine post actually 😉

Tony do you mean the fork doesn't integrate well with the frame? It does look like an after thought.

Mister P & Tony – you have a point there 🙂 Prob a std kinesis fork with new paintjob 🙂

I don't not like the Kinesis, for me it just falls into a bit of a gap. A £900 frame will likely build into a c£3000 bike, but it'll be lesser specced than an off the shelf £3000 bike, and doesn't have the 'boutique' value of a Colnago, Pinarello. It's also not all that light, at 1kg for a 47cm. Shame.

Yep frame and fork are a bit of an after thought (as was my mail!!).

Oh yep – De Rosa King in matt Blue too please!

of course as generally complete builts are better value for money 🙂

    for 54CM Pinarello Prince = 990g
    Kinesis KR-810 47cm = 1000g

    However sizing wise:

And comparing geometry for instance as above the 47cm looks equivalent of 53/54cm Pinarello?

Just confirming my suspicions about bike snobbery 😉
    Bitchy comment sorry 😉

Colnagokid has a rather nice Colnago. They are a bit hit and miss IMHO but his is defintely a hit.

    That carbon girder frame.
    I want one. 🙂

(not the complete bike with that awful Campag on it… 😉 )

A 54cm Prince is meant to be 900g, but I was meaning more against the Specialized Tarmac, Trek Madone, Scott Addict etc that would end up costing about the same.

Don't get me wrong, like I say, I like it, it just fails to wow me on any criteria.

    Hi Crazy legs

(not the complete bike with that awful Campag on it… )

Only the shifters and gears are campag.

Personally I love Campy record. Beautiful stuff. Each to their own.

To that end Foxy, there's an interesting thread about the Dogma (which I don't like!), weighing an absolute ton compared to claimed weight!

If the Racelight is anything like my Crosslight they could save 100g of paint!

Well, this is my KR810, I think it just needs some white bottle cages to balance it.

I spotted a Pinarello Dogma in Team Sky colours in Cycle Surgery the other day. That was very pretty indeed, especially for a road bike. And a Pinarello. 😉
