    Generally it’s young people (early 20’s)who have part time jobs and lots of parental support.
    Not good but its just the way it is!
    Historically some of us were employed as support technical officers and did part time training whilst already working for the Local Authority to become fully qualified.
    Takes up to 6 years to qualify and no guarantee of a full EHO post at the end.
    That’s how I did it-but16years ago
