No seatbelts.
Fiddling with phones and other crap.
Not looking where they’re going.

Just wondering if they had a UK depart, would they be up for prosecution, or are they exempt if the road is closed?

Probably exempt on closed roads.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read that the tour has some rules around this

no wonder cars from the caravan run into the riders of rear ends other cars.

it’s a race closed roads exempt…next they will be running over riders

It is crazy driving. There have been accidents between vehicles and riders this year, thankfully nothing hugely serious but it seems more are inevitable if this is typical of what goes on in teamcars.

The closed roads legal situation has no effect on rider/spectator safety.

Not sure what you’re on about – that’s pretty standard driving behaviour over here…

Rule 1 of breaking the rules – don’t video it
Rule 2 of breaking the rules – don’t put it on youtube…

How does a 30kMh speed limit work then, surely they need to keep up with the Peloton?

Interesting to note the zero tolerance approach to alcohol too!

what about the other guy with the phone “look ma no hands”
Or does watching the race on your phone/phablet not count as mobile use

As you well know in the UK you can run over and kill a cyclist and avoid any real punishment (numerous instances as made apparent by threads on here) so it seems like a silly question really!
