  • Would on one carbon fatty forks work for a 29+ front end?

Thinking of putting these on the front end of a lurcher to accomodate a 29+ front tyre. The length is the same as their monocoque 29er fork but the offset is 10mm more. Would this totally screw the steering or what?

It’ll change the handling a bit putting the point of contact with the ground further out front so it feels a bit ‘boaty’ but it won’t be a massive change, obvious, but not huge. We have a 29er out back in the warehouse that has been tried with all sorts of forks on it, only a few were ‘bad’ choices.

Also 29+ is more like 31 inch diameter

The fatty fork is designed for a 135mm frot hub – a 29+ plus tyre will run fine on many regular MTB forks – I have a 445mm Pace RC31 on my bike running Surly Knards. FYI tyres are 740mm diameter.

Cheers guys. I’ve already got some WB Rock Solids which i think will be wide enough, so i”ll give them a whirl first. Might not be quite the right look for a Lurcher though.
