to ask for a loan bike from my LBS since they’re having to send mine off for some warranty work? It’s not likely to be back for up to two weeks 🙁

I don’t think it is unreasonable, but it all depends on their attitude to their customers I guess. See if you can have a word with the manager. Supposing they do loan you a bike, I think they would want a hefty deposit if you want to borrow anything half decent…

They can only say no. They might charge you. Also depends if you are a regular or bought the bike from them?

I bought the bike from them 6 weeks ago to the tune of £1400. It went in for its first service and it came back with a “known issue” that it needs to go back to the factory for – I may well ask when I collect it tomorrow.
