It doesn’t actually do much more than provide a placebo effect. Here are the ingredients of Covonia:

    1.36g Glycerol BP
    Excipients: Each 5ml contains Syrup(sucrose) 2.436gm, Liquid Glucose 280.0mg

    Interesting, eh?

Why wouldn’t 1.36g Glycerol BP not have an effect beyond a placebo effect on a dry and tickly cough ?

At work the raspberry jelly we use in some products is identical to the Clif gel things.

I’m gonna vacpac some and see next big ride I have.

Only if you stick it up your arse, apparently. What was your proposed delivery system?

However, I think it’s a banned masking agent under the UCI doping rules, so don’t try swigging on Covonia halfway through a DH World Cup event. 🙂
