Paul o’grady’s another one in the same genre no? personally i find both of them as well as graham norton highly irritating! then again it’s not a gay thing ..I also can’t listen to evans/wogan/bruce/zoe ball and dermott o’leary …all those sucking noises he makes and constantly bigging everything up drives me nuts!

Carr’s comedy is very reliant on his camp/gay stylings. So no, he wouldn’t be funny if he wasn’t gay, or so camp at least. Or rather, he wouldn’t have an act if he wasn’t gay/camp as he is.

FWIW I find him funny occasionally, and I generally dislike camp behaviour but his shouting is pretty annoying.

I think the assumption in the question is that he is funny. So yeah, I reckon he’d be just as funny if he didn’t fancy men.
