    I only watched a few bits and most of that was people standing around. But it looked like riding round the fire roads at Grizedale with tyres that didn’t grip very well?

    That’s what fat bikerists do best. It’s tiring pedalling those things around, you have to stop so people can gawp at them and you can wax lyrically about them and of course you have to spend ages talking about dropout and bottom bracket widths etc etc.
