Have you worked out how to get your kit there?

I already have bikes in Queensland at my son's place, so I won't have to transport a bike.

The bit about needing a pit manager is a bummer though. I was intending to be unsupported.

Canberra.

I marshalled the Australian 24hr solo champs a few years ago around Majura Pines in Canberra. A really good event with an excellent atmosphere and I got a free t-shirt for manning a checkpoint. Good luck and if you have a chance to ride the other trails around Canberra if you have the energy then I would recommend it.

Great. Perhaps you can tell us what the course surface is like.

A lot of Oz races I have been in have rockhard dirt tracks with loose dirt on the corners.

I have never ventured so far south before.
