    Hi,

Booked a caravan for a couple of nights for myself my partner and our 18 month old.

    No biking unfortunately.

Any recommendations for activities and quite importantly real ale pubs and a good feed around the coastal areas.

    Thanks in advance.

    Mike

    All the above plus

The Percy Arms in Chatton used to be and I think still is decent for food and beer. That’s a handful of miles towards the coast from Wooler
If you like your rock, grab the Northumberland bouldering guide – some of the best crags in the country nearby.
See if anything on the Ford and Etal estate appeals

Ford & Etal Estates and the Heathslaw Narrow Gauge Railway, both are in the same place and cool!

For good beer, try the Ship Inn low newton. Brew their own on the premises. If you like dark beers and Sea Coal is on, give that a try. A little way from Wooler, but happens to be right by a great beach

Don’t bother going – Northumberland is bloody awful. Landscape, castle and beaches are horrendous, folk are really unfriendly, nowt to see. Stay away 😀

Fantastic, definitely going to check Crasters out for the kippers and the Ship inn looks perfect up the coast for a pint of nice Ale. I love dark beers. Yum.

    Happy days.

    Much appreciated.
