Furry muff. I neve bothered with whort travel hardtails, 130mm seems sensible to me, no need for any less,, too much of a jessie to justify anything more.

130 seems long for me on a hardtail!

    nice looking bike.
My vote would go for blue – on current form six times better

Like the red (and the blue).
Are they subtly nicking the triple triangle off GT?

I’m liking the “self stand” abilaty of these bikes, does it work on other surfaces as well as grass?

I REALLY want one, but I’m having a bit of an issue getting past the £400 charged.

Looks lovely though, would they work with a 140mm fork? Are they a 1 1/8 ht??

are long travel hardtails all the rage these days?

The demo one i have is 140mm

    Hardtail D.H/Freeride (160mm fork)
    4X/Slalom (120mm fork)
All mountain/single track, trail. (120mm-150mm fork)

i still cant see why you need 150mm of travel on most hardtails, 120mm should surfice for most trails people ride, the only time i think 150mm would be usefull is when doing some downhill rides…

still red is 100x better 😆

Nice – let us know how it rides. I too really want the 16″ in grey, but I’ve only just built up my small BFe.

Agree, the £400 price point seems quite steep. Although I appreciate the quality tubing they’ve used isn’t exactly budget stuff.

Does the 400 quid pay for the extra mile of chain you get? 😉

the whole finish and package on the red one makes it look a lot better than the blue bike. try and recreate that!

I remember when 90mm was considered a long travel hardtail.

Loving the blue one almost looks like that old anodized blue 🙂

£400 is a good price for a well-finished, 853 hardtail. Though it does weigh in heavier than a BFe despite the posh tubes. I’d like a go…

Stanton are currently very a la mode, darling.

Well, yes, that’s what it’s for really. (Having said that- I only use my fork at 150mm mode as a geometry aduster, rather than feeling I “need” the travel)

Chunky – just beaten to it by timmys. It’ll be the 27.2mm version slotted in there. Good value uppy-downy post. Good for your Turner!
