If you are looking at Oakleys then http://www.eyewearoutlet.co.uk have great deals. I have some Rudy Project Graal SX with interchangeable lenses. They don't make that model any more but do have some other SX styles for smaller faces.

I got a great pair from Decathlon. They were woman specific, although I seem to remember they were marketed for running not riding... Pale blue and grey frames, fitting my rather small head and with interchangable clear / yellow / brown lense - all for about £20.
I went back to get another pair last year, couldn't find the same ones, but it might be worth a look if you have a store nearby.

Sorry, slight thread hi-jack ...
ladies - not wanting to sound too personal, but how small are your heads? Mine's quite tiny, so even with 'women's' perscription glasses from the opticians, I have to chose the smallest ones.
I'm looking for some very small biking glasses with a prescription transition lens. Not going to be cheap, so want to get it right. Any pointers?

157 quid? cough splutter.... Thanks but no thanks Ms London. Was thinking of something like the endura ones, but wondered how they fitted the small of head. No decathlon anywhere near me, so something I can get online prefered.

Sue w - I had a look for some good perscription glasses a couple of years ago (I also have a small head don't know the size, but kids helmets or small adults done up as tight as possible on the rachet fit well)... sorry to say I couldn't find any in the local opticians and was reluctant to send off for some. I eneded up going down the daily disposable contact lens route. I have a stigmatism so contact lenses weren't supposed to work, but I tried them and found that they were fine
Now I pay about £10 a month for a dozen pairs through the post, means I can wear them kayaking, biking or skiing with regular sunnies / goggles with no worries, still wear my specs to work.Doesn't answer your question - sorry, but worth thinking about.
Dave - Decathlon do mail order, but the only clear female ones I can see on the web are 'Raid Trail 700' glasses with photochromic lenses, which make them expensive at £34.99. I can vouch that Decathlon Ladies glasses are small with rubber arms to help a snug fit.

dave360 - in that case just buy her the 15quid endura spectrum glasses - I have them for night time riding - not the greatest set of glasses but the fit is ok.

I've never found cheapo glasses that are suitable for small heads.
I've got Oakley Half Jackets with clear lenses and they're still quite big on my head.

Rudy Project SX styles great for small heads, they aren't cheap ie £60 for interchangeable lenses and normally come with clear, orange and dark but I've had mine for 7 years now and they are still going strong so definately worth the extra cost.

I have quite a small baby face, I can't compare them to Oakleys (although I did buy a pair of their "fashion" glasses and they were quite big, but looked small on t'interweb!)but they are perfect on my baby face! I have a women's Skyla Giro helmet and wear it on one of the smallest ratchet settings. Mate of mine wears Rudy Projects and she wears kids helmets!!!

Sue W - I too have a very small head and on a recent visit to 'specsavers', was told by the teenage (just out of nappies) assistant, that my face was too small, thus my eyes were too small for contact lenses (how rude), on speaking to another optician (more mature and experienced), he said rubbish. So I'm off to try and sort myself out in the local shop.
Sorry Dave, I've gone of on one. My riding glasses are by 'Smith', however they were expensive at the time and this was about 9 years ago. Also for some reason they only did yellow, shaded and very dark interchangable lenses. Infact I think your missus tried mine on once.
Come on you cycling manufacturers wake up to us small headed riders.

Eurgh, mm depends on the optics in them, cheaper glasses tend to have nasty lenses and you can feel like you are 20 foot high! But hey if they work good luck. I got my Rudy's as a pressie 7 years ago and when they die I would definately buy another pair.

Although not women specific, I wear clear Uvex safety glasses. They have 2 way adjustable arms, antis scratch coating and antifog too. Give good coverage of the eyes and there is no problem with "feeling like your 20 feet high". Had them 3 years now and they're not scratched unlike my wiggle triple lense glasses which lasted about 4 or 5 rides before they were scratched to buggery from branches or the like.
I think "specialist sports glasses" unless prescription are a bit of a rip off. Even then prescription ones can be overpriced.Have a look at the rest of the glasses I'm sure there's something to suit.

Dave - where abouts are you. I have an old set of tifosi that come up small. If your in the southeast you could have them. They're a bit battered but have 4 shades of lenses. Ill do a pic you like.

When I first started wearing contact lenses I was told that my eyeballs were small so I might struggle to find contact lenses to fit. I never had any problems though, the optician said based on the diameter of the lens and the diameter of my eyeball they shouldn't fit but they did and I've never worried about it since. So good luck, hope it's the same for you.

Thanks everyone. She say she like the look of the enduras, so I ordered a coupla days ago thinking that if they're a bit big I can heat and bend the frame a bit, of if they're really big I'll just sell em on.

Thats probably one of the least accessible places in the southeast. I regularly travel between kent and basingstoke.

Just wanted to say thanks to theflatboy for posting that link to the £3 Zekler glasses. Mine arrived yesterday and were great around Kielder today. Money well spent!
