I’m relatively new to my mtb but as yet have only been out on my own and I’d love to meet people to ride with, probably women to begin with as currently going through a divorce. Anyone local or anyone have suggestions as to local clubs I could contact?
I live in the pendle area so close to gisburn forest.

Hi cycling club is

Clitheroe bike cclub mainly roadie but I am sure they used to mountain bike as wel, nice folk who are really welcoming.

MTB I think closest is bogtrotters. Cannot say what they are like as club but know they used to ride in the area.

Not sure if they have women only sections but I think they could do, possibly an enquiry.

Hope were running a very busy women’s only nights at Gisburn, not sure if that have stopped but you maybe able to tap In to that.

Check out Blackburn Bikers, they sometimes head out your way, as well as Bus Stop Bikers and as suggested, Clitheroe bike club. Also contact Richard at Green Jersey in Clitheroe, Andy and Craig at Ride On in Rawtenstall and Ian at Ewood Cycles in Blackburn as they all have groups going out.

Stick a group up on Facebook cos I bet your not the only one who would want the same thing

There’s a very active and supportive Facebook group called MTBChix&Trails that usually has lots of women keen to meet up for a ride. I’m sure there will be some around Gisburn.

Bogtrotters are on FB. They do a lot of rides around Lakes/ North Lancs,quite a few female members & you can join a beginners ride without being a club member.
