Is the Severn Bore on ?

Bit harsh. I always find redthunders posts vaguely interesting. 😉

No idea what he’s on about this time though.

Some of the highest spring tides for some time, along with strong South-westerly winds, and possibly a low-pressure area over the top, all of which mean real risk of water over-topping tidal defences along the Bristol Channel, and some good Bores, too.
There was some good drone footage on Points West news earlier.

I work just the other side of those cranes. Yes, we moved any electricals off the floor on the ground floor. The flood baffles didn’t work when we last had high tide and lots of rain. And it came quite close to our front doors and flooded the people opposite. More to do with faulty drainage than “perfect storm”.
May go for a walk on Brean Down at the weekend!

It wasnt that high tbh as there was no wind and no low air pressure, so in Bristol it just got into the floating harbour. Which is great for all the people and businesses who are as risk of flooding but did look very nice.
