Got a microsoft wireless mouse 1000. recently it stopped responding. tried different USB ports and different laptop – still the same. Tried it at the office today and it worked perfectly. I’m thinking it may be interference problems…..but how do i get around this????

first of all try uninstalling the mouse driver and rebooting with the usb dongle plugged in.

find device manager (RHC on “My Computer” and “Manage” if in XP, or just start typing “Device Manager” in start find box in W7)

go to pointing devices, RHC on the ouse and “Uninstall”.

    Reboot.

personally I would uninstall the synaptics driver then and reboot, but you need to be happy you can get hold of the latest drivers again from the synaptics website. If you’re not confident then best not to…

You have resync’d the mouse and dongle yes?

doh, sorry must be sync’d as youve used it on another computer
