I have a bit of kit that needs to be hardwired to a router but I really need it the other side of the house which is nowhere near one. Is there a device that I can physically connect it to then that connects wirelessly to the router and the rest of the LAN. Dongles and wifi cards are out of the question. Any help gratefully received.

I’ve used powerline stuff for this purpose; I’ve found it generally more reliable and faster than doing it wirelessly.

(What I’d really like is wireless bridges for USB, but alas they don’t seem to exist…)

Well I’ll still post my solution in case anyone else has the same issue. I use one of these to connect a TV with ethernet port to wifi
