    Can anyone recommend a pair of MTB winter riding trousers that don’t cost the earth?

    I got some ronhill tail microlight pants cheap for around £25,

    Waterproof, although not cycling specific they do the job and you can velcro the calf to keep it away from drive chain.

    shorts and 3/4 Roubaix bib, with socks on you have about <….> this much leg exposed, never gets cold

    The only ones I found long enough are Avenir/Raleigh ones, about £25 and excellent

    i use endura, got singletracks, commuters and gridlocks
    i just rotate them depending on how cold it is.

    Got a set of Altura boulders from my LBS last week. £30.

    Haven’t tried them in anger yet 🙂

    No they don’t look great but they work well and its not a fashion paraid.
