I just duct-tape rocks to my turbo trainer rollers and get the Mrs to spray me with muddy liquid from an old muc-off bottle.

Me experience of missing road rides for a few weeks in the winter is my fitness drops a lot, even mtbing won’t maintain it which I think is because it’s too eratic. So hours of steady miles on the turbo is the closest I can get to road riding. Dull but I use an Elite RealPower which connects to a PC and real video of climbs so not as bad as it could be.
