Chiba Drystar or SealSkins winter.

Both the same price, so which are better?
Anybody used both??

What’s the sizing like on the Chiba’s?
On the SealSkins I need XXL.

I think the chibas run small, so unless they do an XXXL…

Get an Aldi pair.

Sealskins stuff is awful, have Gore Tool gloves and they’re the best I’ve had, check the sizing though as I needed a size up from what the size guide says.

Love my sealskinz socks (mid light and merino) and my sealskinz winter gloves.

The £5 aldi ones are ace also!!

Another consideration.

British Army boot liners cut off are good and I’ve used them for years.

sealskinz are not awful in the slightest!

extra cold weather gloves with the thin merino sealskinz liner glove = warm toasty hands

been out in the snow past 3 nights and not once have i had cold fingers/hands in anything from -3 to -9 also did a long ride on sunday when it was according to the car -10 ….again warm hands, so how is that awful 😉

can also vouch for the socks too, took delivery of the mid thermal socks and a pair of woolie boolies underneath, not once did i get cold feet and thats ploughing through snow of several inches 🙂 does help i had mw80s on too mind 😉

Used these today on the quantocks, lovely and toasty

I have a pair of Alpinestars Storm from about 5 years ago and live in them every winter. Excellent and since they are bikers gloves they don’t interfere with using the controls etc. They are expensive but I’d wager that mine will last another 3 years or so. Cost over time isn’t a whole lot then.

Very happy with some vintage chibas, not tried anything modern though
