The extraordinary bravery of the Polish pilots during the Battle of Britain has been well documented and recognised, although later than it should have been. Indeed, thank you and lux perpetua luceat eis

Also, thank you to the Daily Telegraph, who whatever your view of their editorial stance, should be applauded for continuing to celebrate the lives of such men though their obituary columns.

    +1 for the Telegraphs obituaries..

It’s good to remember these things.

    which reminds me..

for anyone interested, there’s a collection of 10 largely aerial based books from the second war, reduced to a measly ten quid.

I’ll spare the man a thought next time I’m going past the Polish War Memorial by RAF Northolt.

Often ride past the Polish war memorial at Cannock. Though I struggle to think they faced anything as tough as braking bumps.

Coincidentally I had to educate a member of my family last week re the untold sacrifices and contributions of Polish service men and women (in response to one of their ignorant moans).

A true warrior with that record RIP

Poppy time everyone. We can all spare a fiver.
What these people had to go through, I don’t even want to imagine.
Your life being in peril every day, how they held it together I don’t know.
