The wife has just bought a new HP windows tablet and we didn’t think about Microsoft word/excel/powerpoint at the time of purchase.

Now she doesn’t use word etc to often, so my request for help is to ask if there a basic free (or cheap) app that she can download.

I have a good one on my Android phone but can’t download it to the windows tablet.

    Cheers

Is it the full windows 8 or the mobile phone/tablet version?

If its windows 8 then how about one of the free office packages

If its not full windows then “office 365” but I think you pay for that. Well I get it free from work but most people pay

One thought… doesn’t Windows RT 8.1 have office? Maybe just needs a free software upgrade.

    Otherwise take it back.
Get a surface. Even the RT ones have Office. (Typing on one now)

Cheers for that, it’s not a surface.

It’s a HP tablet with a removable keyboard called a Pavilion x2 like this
