    Has anyone got a good link to download some codec packs to allow my to play DVDs through Windows Media Player on XP? There seems to be a lot of sites available, but I'm just a bit dubious about downloading from some dodgy site. cheers.

    CODEC packs are rubbish, install FFDShow Tryouts from here:

    http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

    It has built in codecs for h264, DIVX, XVID, etc

    or VLC has support for most formats built in
