    I’d have taken the child,knowing the stress of looking after your own whing children is worse than looking after others.
    Besides, why not? People should help each other.

    To add some geographical balance to this

    to be fair, in most north american ski resorts, almost every chairlift you run the chance of being asked to accompany a kid in a ski school program.

    When we were on our honeymoon we were asked if we could look after 2 kids of pram age on a street in Singapore. We were sitting on a bench (outside a bank, but we didn’t know this) trying not to melt. Lady walked up to us, asked, we affirmed, she walked off.

    She was gone 15 mins, maybe more. We thought we were on candid camera.

    So maybe it’s a UK problem.
