    Tiagra 9spd STIs
    XT 9spd rear mech
    XT 10spd front mech
    9 or 10spd (MTB, 28/38/48 ish) triple chainset
    9spd 11-34 cassete on Aksium hub/wheel

    … all on a CX frame.

    I think it should work, just wondering if there’s going to be any annoying chainline or whatever issues.

    Basically, I’m looking to tourify my CX frame. Have done the Dales Cycle route on it with a mild bodge of 30/40/50 triple, 11-32 cassete and a standard road mech, which gave me just enough low end gearing, but I’d like a bit more, plus the mech couldn’t really handle the cassette…

    so long as its not a shadow rear mech it should be fine. set up something similar a couple of days ago and it worked perfectly well.

    XT 10spd front mech

    Could not get one of these to work on a 9sp setup. Crisp shifting but chain rub was a problem
