  • will a Deore M615 mech stretch to 40t?

    Just bought a cheap clutched deore mech and was wondering if anyone had stretched one to work with a bigger sprocket?

    I’ve seen it done with a zee on to a 40t sprocket, so should be doable with the deore. Just a case of piddling with the b screw and making sure the chain is bob on in terms of length.

    Yes works with my hope T. Rex and 30t Raceface NW

    Good to know.

    I assumed it wouldn’t be massively different from the posher mechs, I may never try and bend it that far but its nice to have the option.
